WebCenter Interaction Portal new release!

Maybe some of you already know, there is new release of the WebCenter Interaction Portal aka AquaLogic Portal aka Plumtree. Looking into the release notes and also playing with the product you will find some very nice new integrations inside for example:

  • Official support for .NET 3.5 and Java 1.6
  • Support for 64-bit systems on Windows and Linux.
  • There are some new adaptive tags for the adaptive page layouts giving you more control of the caching but also rendering the portal tree menu and the portlets itself
  • New adaptive page layout for the advanced search, really interesting one
  • New portlet for the Knowledge Direktory browsing, which gives you better UI experience
  • The Pathways engine is now integrated inside the portal, so you will have tagging functionality out-of-box into the portal
  • Microsoft excel integration, maybe some of you remember the old Excel Portlets, there are back now
  • Into the Collaboration Server you have now the ability to export the documents directly to the Oracle Universal Content Management
  • There is new Wiki and Blog functionality
  • The remote query API functionality with Analytics is now restored
  • Also very interesting support for the latest Pagelet Producer version, which gives you possibility to integrate JSR-286 portlets and functionalities from the WebCenter Service.
